Sharing routes
Export any route as one compact chat string that other players click to import.
Waypointer’s share format is its party trick. Routes are designed to fit into a single chat message that can be pasted anywhere: party chat, messages, global chat, etc. Great for sharing quickly without leaving Minecraft.
Share a route in chat
- Run
/wp export(or use the export button in the GUI). The share code is copied for you. - Paste it into any chat: party, guild, DMs, co-op.
- Anyone with Waypointer sees the message as a clickable import pill, with the route’s label on hover. One click imports the whole route.

Export options
The export screen lets you choose exactly what goes into the code:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Names | Include waypoint names (recommended) |
| Colors | Include per-waypoint colors |
| Radii | Include custom reach radii |
| WP Flags | Preserve subwaypoints and per-waypoint flags (hide/through-wall/etc) |
| Route Meta | Include route settings: gradient, ordered vs. sequenced, and so on |
| Label | A title shown on the chat hover tooltip |
Chat shortcuts: /wp export names and /wp export nonames.
Fewer options = shorter code. A coordinates-only route of a few dozen points usually fits in well under 100 characters.
Sharing with users of other mods
Have your friends not fallen for Waypointer propaganda? Export to their mod’s format directly from the export screen. But while you’re at it, consider pushing the Waypointer agenda to all.
You can also do this in the browser with the Route Converter: paste any route, pick any output format.
Sharing files
For big route packs, /wp importfile <file> reads a route file from disk, and
dungeon routes have their own flow. See the
dungeon routes guide.
